Lent out my Bosch router to a neighbor.
Got it back with a cracked base, wrong bit installed upside-down, and sawdust still packed in the motor.
Now it’s a shop decoration. I point at it during tool safety talks.
PEX-A can handle it, but two caveats:
If your water heater is set above 140°F (not recommended), long-term PEX degradation is possible.
Watch for chlorinated water — high chlorine + heat = bad combo for plastic piping.
If this is a forever home and budget allows, copper's the safe bet...
